By accessing and using the MyMovieMate application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Service Description

MyMovieMate is a movie and TV show tracking application that allows users to:

  • Discover movies and TV shows
  • Create and manage watchlists
  • Receive notifications about new releases
  • Find local theaters
  • Sync data across devices using iCloud

3. User Accounts and Data

  • Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their iCloud account
  • All user data is stored and synced through iCloud
  • Users must comply with Apple's terms of service regarding iCloud usage

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 TMDB Integration

  • Movie and TV show data is provided by The Movie Database (TMDB)
  • Content ratings, descriptions, and images are property of their respective owners
  • Usage complies with TMDB's terms of service

4.2 Apple Services

  • iCloud services are subject to Apple's terms and conditions
  • Push notifications are handled through Apple's notification service
  • Location services utilize Apple's location framework

5. User Conduct

Users agree not to:

  • Modify or attempt to reverse engineer the App
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Interfere with the App's security features
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
  • Use the App in any way that could damage or impair service

6. Intellectual Property

  • All rights, title, and interest in the App remain with the App owner
  • Users receive a limited, non-transferable license to use the App
  • App content and trademarks are protected by applicable laws

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

8. Notifications

  • Push notifications are optional
  • Users can manage notification preferences through device settings
  • Notifications may include movie/TV show updates and recommendations

9. Termination

We reserve the right to:

  • Terminate or suspend access without prior notice
  • Modify or discontinue the App without liability
  • Update these terms at any time

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

12. Changes to Terms

  • Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
